Płomień 81
Płomień 81 is a Polish hip-hop group formed in 1998 in Warsaw by Paweł “Pezet” Kapliński and Marcin “Onar” Donesz. The group’s name comes from Primary School No. 81 in the Ursynów district, where the rappers used to meet, firmly rooting the project in a specific housing estate environment. From the outset, Płomień 81 was associated with Warsaw’s Ursynów district, stories of growing up in tower blocks, and a style that combined classic rap skills with a personal perspective. Their debut album “Na zawsze będzie płonął” was released on 27 September 1999 by Asfalt Records and quickly gained a reputation as one of the key Polish hip-hop records of the turn of the century.
