Dżem is one of the most important Polish blues-rock bands, founded in 1973 in Tychy by brothers Adam and Benedykt Otręba together with Paweł Berger. The group emerged from a fascination with blues, rock, and improvisation, and even its name came from the Polish spelling of the English word “jam,” reflecting the spirit of collective playing and musical spontaneity.
