Zdrowa Woda
Zdrowa Woda was formed in the spring of 1988 in Ciechocinek by Sławomir Małecki and Marek Modrzejewski. After only a few weeks of rehearsals, the band debuted at Rawa Blues with original material, which means it entered the scene not as a cover act but as a group with its own repertoire and identity. Strong signs that the band was built for more than a short run came very quickly. In 1989 Zdrowa Woda reached Poland’s “Golden Ten” of youth bands and performed in the Opole final concert, and in the following years it became a recurring presence at Rawa Blues, Jarocin, Bluesada, Muzyczny Camping, Jesień z Bluesem and Przystanek Woodstock. Artist Trivia
- Zdrowa Woda entered the scene unusually fast, because only a few weeks separated the band’s formation from its debut with original material at the Rawa Blues festival.
- Just one year after starting out, the group reached Poland’s “Golden Ten” of youth bands and performed in the final concert of Opole 1989, which marked a strong national breakthrough.
- From 1991 to 1993 the band was connected with Walter Chełstowski’s agency “Zjednoczone Słonie”, which shows that its support network extended beyond the narrow blues circuit.
- Zdrowa Woda also proved its long stage life by appearing at large-scale events such as Przystanek Woodstock in 1995, 1998 and 2017.
