Grammatik

Grammatik is a Warsaw hip-hop group founded in 1997 by Leszek “Eldo” Kaźmierczak and Marcin “Jotuze” Józwa, later expanded by producer Mikołaj “Noon” Bugajak and, during a key period, also by rapper Ash. In the history of Polish rap, the group holds a special place because, as described in Red Bull’s retrospective, it helped bring a more reflective strand of rap, often referred to as “intelligent rap”, into the foreground alongside more street-oriented styles. The group’s beginnings were raw and deeply rooted in the underground scene, with an early collaboration with producer Szyha leading to the track “24h”, later included on the compilation Enigma prezentuje: 0-22-Underground vol. 2.
