Post Regiment

Post Regiment was one of the most important bands in Polish hardcore punk, founded in Warsaw in 1986 by Darek “Tolek” Grądzki, Jarek “Smok” Smak and Rafał “Rolf” Biskup. Drummer Maksymilian “Max” Gralewicz joined a year later, and in 1987 the group reached a wider audience at the Warsaw festival “Poza Kontrolą.” In its early period, the band played more slowly and in a more conventional style than on the recordings that later defined its legacy. Artist Trivia

  • In its earliest phase, Post Regiment played at a noticeably slower pace and with a more conventional vocal approach than on the records that later defined its reputation.
  • The switch from Darek “Tolek” Grądzki to Dominika “Nika” Domczyk was one of the most important turning points in the band’s history and strongly shaped its distinctive sound.
  • The 1992 self-titled debut is widely treated as one of the core records of the Polish independent hardcore punk scene of the 1990s.
  • The second album, “Czarzły,” pushed the band toward a harsher, faster and rawer sound often described through crust punk and d-beat references.
