Artist Trivia
- The name TSA expands to “Tajne Stowarzyszenie Abstynentów,” one of the most recognizable band names in the history of Polish heavy music.
- Before bringing in a vocalist, the group operated as an instrumental act, which made its early phase unusual even by the standards of that era’s rock scene.
- The band won Jarocin in 1981, and that success opened the way to a Tonpress deal and a rapid rise into the national circuit.
- According to available accounts, the debut single “Mass Media” sold around a quarter of a million copies, an exceptional number for Polish heavy metal in the early 1980s.
