Janusz Szrom

Janusz Szrom is a Polish jazz singer, teacher, and music publicist who has long been strongly connected both to the stage and to music education. He was born on November 16, 1968 in Grodków, and his route to singing was unusual because he began with instruments rather than voice. He started his musical education with piano, later spent many years playing trumpet, and after finishing secondary music school also studied organ. He eventually entered the Jazz and Popular Music Department of the Academy of Music in Katowice, graduating in 1995.
