Łzy
Łzy is a Polish pop rock band founded in 1996 in Pszów, and one of the key representatives of melodic Polish pop rock from the turn of the 1990s and 2000s. The group was formed by Adam Konkol, Anna Wyszkoni, Arkadiusz Dzierżawa, Dawid Krzykała and Sławomir Mocarski, with the early line-up creating the repertoire that took the band from the local scene to nationwide radio success. Łzy became known for emotional lyrics, memorable melodies and rock instrumentation shaped into an accessible radio format. Major songs from the first period, including “Agnieszka już dawno…”, “Narcyz”, “Oczy szeroko zamknięte”, “Jestem jaka jestem”, “Aniele mój” and “Niebieska sukienka”, became lasting parts of the Polish pop rock...
Artist Trivia
- Sara Chmiel made her stage debut with Łzy at the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity finale in Warsaw, only eight days after officially becoming the band’s vocalist.
- Adam Konkol still played on the 2011 album “Bez słów…”, making it a key transitional release between the Anna Wyszkoni era and the full development of the Sara Chmiel line-up.
- Arkadiusz Dzierżawa and Dawid Krzykała have been members of Łzy since the very beginning, giving the current formation direct personnel continuity with the band founded in 1996.
- Rafał Trzaskalik joined Łzy in 1999, which means he was also part of the group during its biggest radio breakthrough in the early 2000s.
