Łzy
Łzy, in its current lineup fronted by Sara Chmiel-Gromala, is a Polish pop-rock band originating from the group founded in 1996 in Pszów. Sara Chmiel has been the band’s vocalist since January 1, 2011, and after Anna Wyszkoni’s departure she became the new voice of one of Poland’s best-known pop-rock acts. The band’s current live lineup and official channels present Łzy as a continuation of the brand, combining classic hits with newer releases promoted through lzy.pl and related social platforms.
Artist Trivia
- In 2021, Łzy went through a major split, after which two separate groups began performing under the same name.
- The lineup with Sara Chmiel-Gromala continued working with the band’s existing musicians, while Adam Konkol launched a separate competing Łzy project.
- The conflict was not limited to a personal breakup - it also involved a legal dispute over the right to use the name “Łzy,” and the matter reached the courts.
- One of the most widely discussed moments in the dispute was the disappearance of the band’s biggest hits from the internet, showing that the battle concerned not only personnel but also control over the group’s catalog and legacy.
