Artist Trivia
- The name Virgin was chosen by Tomasz Lubert to sound provocative and play off both the band’s image and Doda’s media persona.
- The band started out with a major label deal – their first three albums were released by Universal Music Polska, giving Virgin strong promotional support from the beginning.
- “Ficca” went triple platinum, and the single “Znak pokoju” was called “the biggest hit of 2005” in Poland, topping the charts and winning both Silver and Golden Nightingale awards at Sopot.
- Doda’s official bios emphasize that Virgin was the project that turned her into a star, but it ended when her personal brand began to outshine the band’s name itself.
