Wojciech Młynarski

Wojciech Młynarski was born in Warsaw in 1941 and from an early age combined literary talent with stage instinct. He studied Polish literature at the University of Warsaw, but instead of an academic career he chose the life of a songwriter, satirist, and director. In the early 1960s he entered the student culture scene and quickly became one of the key figures of the Hybrydy club. The programs “Radosna gęba stabilizacji” and “Ludzie to kupią” established him as a major author of modern social satire that commented on communist-era Polish reality with irony and exceptional command of language.
